Special Meeting of the BOC: Rate Study & Water Use Efficiency Goals
September 23, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Jefferson County PUD’s Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 10:00am to review and discuss an ongoing Rate Study by FCS Group as well as the PUD’s 2020-2025 Water Use Efficiency goals.
Per Governor’s Proclamation 20-28, and in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jefferson County PUD no longer provides in-person rooms for meetings of the BOC. All meetings are only accessible remotely until otherwise ordered by the office of the Governor.
In 2007, the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) established a Water Use Efficiency Program to ensure efficient operation and management of water systems. With it came new requirements which require municipal water supplies to set conservation goals and report annually on their performance to customers and DOH. These goals provide a benchmark for achievement and play a significant role in defining the success of the PUD’s water use efficiency program.
