Washington Families Clean Energy Credits grant program provides funds to electric utility providers for residential customer bill credits.
The increasing expense of utility bills for many low- and moderate-income households in Washington presents a significant obstacle for residents as the state transitions toward a clean energy future.
This initiative offers a bill credit of $200 per household to eligible low- to moderate-income residential electric customers. Applications are due by September 15, 2024.
The Washington Climate Commitment Act (CCA) provided a total of $150M in funding for the grant. Jefferson County PUD will receive approximately $750,000 to distribute to our customers.
The CCA supports Washington’s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs, and improving public health. Information about the CCA is available at www.climate.wa.gov.
