Well Worth the Wait – Snow Creek Well House Replacement

The PUD’s Snow Creek water system update is well underway. (Who doesn’t love water puns?!)

Crews are one step closer to finalizing upgrades to the PUD’s Snow Creek water system with the installation of a new 13′ x 10′ prefabricated well house.

The new well house replaces the original wood structure that came under management of the utility in 2001. The new building features all-concrete construction and two rooms–one side for filtration equipment and the other for the 1.5HP well pump. When finished, the building will feature all new internal equipment.

Crew push to position the concrete building.
Crews from Seton Construction and Snell Crane carefully place the concrete structure into position.

The well house replacement project was awarded to Seton Construction in 2021. Final transition from the old well house to the new is scheduled for spring of 2024.

Snow Creek is the 3rd smallest Group A water system the PUD manages with 56 connections supplying approximately 130 customers along the Highway 101 corridor.
