Jefferson PUD Regular Meeting Time Updated
Jefferson PUD board of commissioners voted on January 2nd to adjust the regular business meeting start time to 4pm, effective January 16th.
The update, proposed by PUD Board President, Jeff Randall (Dist. 1), addresses public comments about meeting timelines and executive sessions during regular meetings. Executive sessions are closed discussions for topics affecting the utility. Each sessions general topic and expected duration is provided prior to beginning discussions. Voting by the board is not allowed during an executive session.
When an executive session is required, a special meeting will be held prior to the regular meeting, beginning at 3pm. The special meeting session will adjourn prior to beginning the regular meeting. Regular meetings will begin at 4pm with agenda approval followed by open public comment.
“This update gives folks a consistent meeting start time and we hope it encourages public participation for those who wish to attend,” Randall said.
PUD board meetings are offered in a hybrid format, with a Zoom meeting link available on the event calendar on jeffpud.org. Regular meetings are held the first and third Tuesday each month. A budget hearing is held the first Monday in October, and one regular board meeting is held in December on the second Tuesday. Meeting notices and agendas are posted at the PUD’s 310 Four Corners Road customer service lobby.
